Reading time: just over 3 minutes.
There are some days (which can quickly turn into weeks, and subsequently turn into months) when bloggers have time for everything except from blogging in itself.
I know, the irony!
As I mentioned before though, I easily find myself writing on the go. Winter has an added layer of trickiness, as fingers are practically frozen and most phone-touch gloves are a joke.
Nevertheless, walking gets my creative brain spin round, and I quite efficiently manage to line up a blogpost or two. My previous combo of Evernote and Google Docs has not made space for a brand new beast, called ‘Blogo ‘.
Blogo is not a new app, but it has surely improved since its early days. Blogo works with my beloved WordPress, as well as Blogger and WordPress.com
For a practical minimalist like yours truly, minimising the amount of steps that need to be taken to write, edit and schedule a post can be longer than expected.
Here’s where Blogo comes in handy.
From writing to formatting and editing, Blogo combines pretty cool features (such as featured images, GIFS and excerpts) with a simple interface.
Most times when I am in WordPress I tend to get stuck into extra tasks, such as selecting images and formatting.
Blogo’s distraction-free environment really helps me focus – estra brownie points for the option to see a real, live preview.
I also believe that Blogo can help new bloggers to get better acquainted with th different functionalities of their blog. I currently use Blogo on my Mac and iPhone to keep my blog in sync – unfortunately I am yet to hack the offline mode when I hit the underground, but I am hoping that’ll be sorted soon.
If you want to get all fancy you can use the “Send to Blogo” share extension and make it easy to add content from other apps or websites / blogs…and did I mention you can add GIFS on the go?
Overall I am really content with my Blogo experience so far – give it a go and let me know what you think about it!
